Yesterday I had springy eyes, today not so much!

I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this because I don't know how much I'll feel like doing my makeup tomorrow but I am very impatient and when I have something to post, I want to post it now!  After I swatched that Inglot pigment 68 I really wanted to use it.  Here's what I did with it today:
What I used:
Inglot pigment 68
Inglot pearl shadow 450 (a rust color)
Inglot pearl shadow 395 (for highlight)
Urban Decay shadow "Twice Baked" (dark brown for outer v)

On my lips:
Revlon "Soft Nude"
I swear there's something about this olivey color that screams to me "wear soft nude with me!!" haha.

This is definitely not a springtime look, it's definitely more for fall but who really cares (haha sorry if you do!)?  I really like how warmer colors like these make my eyes look but I'm not a huge fan of them in general on me (hence the massive amount of cool toned looks).

I went to Sally's today and picked up a couple pairs of lashes and a tube of lash glue (which I've been needing for forever) so maybe you'll be seeing some lashes on me soon.  I hope you guys have an awesome day!

  1. You always put colors together so well! and I don't know what others think, but I think you should wear any colors you want, no matter the season. I know I do...lol!

  3. i really like this look! Your blush and highlighter look amazing on you; what kind do you use? Also, when you use pigments as brow highlighters, do you use them wet or dry? I never tried using one, but your pictures are making me want to try that.

  4. I love it! It does remind me of autumn leaves, but only because you said it first! Beautiful!!

  5. I Love this look on you!! Those colours are beautiful!! The Inglot pigment reminds me of Mac Antique Gold pigment...which I love. I'm trying to order some Inglot atm but I'm having a nightmare getting anyone to get back to me!! Looks like their poor service strikes again:( Gorgeous look though :)

  9. @Meme and Dani: I agree, I think people should wear whatever makeup they want whenever they want!
    @Jess: thank you! I'm wearing NYX peach blush and the highlight on my cheeks is MAC Vanilla pigment. When I use a loose pigment for a brow highlight (which I didn't for this look) I use it dry. Actually, I almost always use pigments dry. I very rarely use them wet.
    @Amalia: thank you!
    @UrbanelyDecayed: haha I'm sorry that you can't get ahold of anyone! If you lived here, I'd know where to direct you!
    @Gina: thank you so much!
    @Charlotte: thank you!
    @Jess: Thank you! I got more into hip hop because of the hubby (he's all about Eminem, Game, and DMX haha) but I definitely like some too! I'm a bit more of a teeny bopper but I respect the art. Haha I'm totally blaming you when he asks "why do you need more lipsticks??"!

  10. Ok I'm not trying to be super nosey or anything, but what foundation and powder do you use? Your skin always looks so flawless!!!

  11. @Ashley: be nosey all you want haha! I really appreciate that you think my skin looks flawless because it's far from it (especially now, my skin hates season changes). I use Revlon Colorstay, which I do like but the thing that really helps my skin look good is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Ended Face Perfector. I swear by this stuff. And the powder I use is CoverGirl loose powder (it's really not great but it does what I need it to). I also use Monistat Anti-Chafing gel as a primer on my face and surprisingly enough I really love it! I hope that helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

  12. I use the Revlon Colorstay foundation also, I love it! Is the Maybelline Face Perfector a concealer then? I have been looking for a good concealer.
    I will have to get some of the Monistat anti-chafing gel, my primer I'm using now is about $15, so I'm sure the Monistat will be a lot cheaper! Thank you so much for responding! :)

  13. The face perfector is a concealer/highlighting duo. I use the concealer on any blemishes and the highlighter under my eyes. I really love it! I had bought a deluxe sample of MUFE's HD primer ($15 for .5 oz.) and I definitely didn't like it as much as I like Monistat ($6 for 1.5 oz.) Though to be fair, they're very different types of primer, MUFE is more like a lotion and Monistat is more silicone.

  14. Oh I definitly need to check out the face perfector then, that's exactly what I'm looking for! Ya I got a sample of the Smashbox primer and I really didn't care for it, and the price is outrageous (in my opinion). I'm using the Palladio one now, it's a silicone one, so maybe it will be comparable to Monistat?? I'll have to test it out! Thanks again for all the advice! :)
